So it just dawned on me the other day that it’s been one year since I started this blog. Hence I wanted to take a moment to reflect and thank everyone.
I started this blog with the intent of sharing my thoughts and experiences in hopes of helping to create more allies to help advance Diversity and Inclusion. I had so many conversations with people over the years saying they wanted to help but didn’t know how. I hope these posts have helped to bring people off the fence and to try and help move the needle forward.
But I had no idea if anyone would read this.
And people did. And for that I am thankful.
People shared their thoughts. Their experiences. I learned what others are doing in this space and what obstacles people are facing. It helped me understand the issues even more and become a better ally myself. Thank you all for that.
But none of this would be possible without a lot of people who encouraged me and helped in innumerable ways. Friends and family have provided ideas, acted as editors and provided guidance. Again I am incredibly grateful.
So to keep this short and sweet … thank you all for reading and helping me become a better ally and hopefully better at helping people become allies of their own.
All the best,
Dave Terné
